FAQ
What Is WATER Baptism?
The public decision of being baptized in water represents a moment of transformation. It symbolizes a fresh start, a new sense of purpose, and embracing a new chapter with God!
While baptism is an important step in your faith, it’s not about having everything figured out. It’s about taking a step forward and continuing to grow.
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”
— 2 Corinthians 5:17
Who Can Be Baptized?
Baptism is for anyone who feels like God is calling them to know Him or grow in their relationship with Him.
Jesus welcomes us just as we are. He said “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit” – Matthew 28:19
His desire is for everyone to know Him and be baptized.
If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, our team would be honored to answer your questions and guide you through the process that day!
DO I HAVE TO BE A MEMBER OF A CHURCH?
No church membership is required. Just a desire to follow Jesus.
ARE INFANTS & CHILDREN ABLE TO BE BAPTIZED?
We value the dedication of children and see baptism as a personal expression of faith. We encourage baptism when someone is able to understand the gospel and choose to take that step for themselves.
WHAT IF I WAS ALREADY BAPTIZED AS AN INFANT?
In the Bible, baptism is consistently connected to personal faith and repentance. In Acts 2:38, Peter said, “Repent and be baptized,” and in Mark 16:16, Jesus said, “Whoever believes and is baptized will be saved,” showing that personal belief comes before baptism.
Infant baptism may have been done with sincere intentions by family, but many believers choose to be baptized again as adults because they now personally understand the Gospel and are publicly declaring their own faith in Jesus.
WHAT SHOULD I BRING TO THE BAPTISM?
It is best to come prepared with:
- Baptism Attire (T-Shirt and shorts to get wet)
- Beach shoes
- Towel
- Change of clothes (if desired)
